Typically when this happens, it does not relate to our configuration or a problem on our end.
Do the following:
- Attempt to ping your site, or if you are familiar with the UNIX "dig" tool, dig using our nameservers to be sure we are returning the correct response.
- Assuming the IP comes back correctly, try typing http://<YOURIP> into your browser, replacing <YOURIP> with your external IP address (the one you or your Dynamic DNS client has updated Sitelutions with).
- If you can connect via HTTP directly to your IP, have a friend on another ISP try the same thing to make sure he can do so as well.
- If you are both unable to connect, your server may not be not responding to HTTP requests. This is probably due to a router misconfiguration, please ensure that your router is set to route HTTP requests to your server. It is also possible that your ISP is blocking incoming requests to port 80 in order to prevent you from running a server.
Unfortunately this a problem that you will have to troubleshoot on your end -- if our DNS is working correctly, there is not much more we can do.
